Biography
The Stunned Guys was an Italian techno hardcore and mainstream hardcore group formed in Pioltello in 1993. They initially consisted of Massimiliano Monopoli, Gianluca Rossi, and DJ Buby. They began their career by sending demo tapes to major Dutch techno hardcore labels without success. They gained traction after meeting Paul Elstak in Rotterdam, leading to a signing with Rotterdam Records. They launched Traxtorm Records in 1995 and released several EPs, including Nidra ep (1994) and Love really sucks ep (1995). Their breakthrough came with the release of "Army of Hardcore", a collaboration with Neophyte. They produced influential tracks such as "Thrillseeka" and "Revolution 909", and released numerous compilations under the Always hardcore series. In 2009, Rossi left the group, and Monopoli produced music solo under The Stunned Guys name. They performed at major festivals like Defqon.1 and Tomorrowland. The project ended in 2019 when Monopoli announced his retirement.
