Biography

Sheer Terror, an American hardcore punk band from New York City, was formed in December 1984. The original lineup included vocalist Paul Bearer, guitarist Alan Blake, bassist Baron "Barry" Misuraca, and drummer Sam "Reid" Lohman. They were featured on the One Big Crowd compilation and released two cassette demos in 1987. The band's debut full-length album, Just Can't Hate Enough, was released in 1990 under Blackout Records. Following lineup changes, Sheer Terror released their second album, Ugly and Proud, in 1992. They signed with MCA Records for the release of Love Songs for the Unloved in 1995. Despite these efforts, Sheer Terror broke up in 1998 due to internal conflicts and label issues. The band reunited briefly in October 2004 for two shows at New York City's CBGB Club.
