Biography

The Fair Sex, a German electro-wave and rock music group, was formed in Essen in 1984 by Myk, L’o, Blonder, A.Bang, and Rascal. Influenced by new wave bands like Joy Division and the Sisters of Mercy, they released their first singles "Divine Service" and "Bushman" in 1987. Their debut album The House of Unkinds followed in 1988 on Last Chance Records. Tragedy struck later that year with the death of drummer A.Bang during a concert. The Fair Sex continued to release albums, including Demented Forms (1989), Bite Release Bite (1991), and Spell of Joy (1992). In 1995, they released their concept album Labyrinth.
