Biography

Midnight Syndicate is an American dark ambient and neoclassical dark wave duo based in Chardon, Ohio. Edward Douglas established the project in 1996, and Gavin Goszka joined in 1998 for the recording of Born of the Night. The duo’s career included recording the first licensed soundtrack for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game in 2003. The group featured major works such as The 13th Hour (2005), which won an Origins Award, and Monsters of Legend (2013), which received a Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Award. The group's recording activity also featured the music videos for “Dark Legacy” and “Lost”. Douglas and Goszka reached Number 12 on the Billboard Classical Crossover chart with Bloodlines (2021) and number 2 with The Brimstone Club (2023). In 2020, the duo received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the website City Blood. The group featured the 2025 compilation Darkened Corners and an original score for the Universal Horror Unleashed attraction.
