Passion Noire, a German guitar-based new wave group, was formed in 1990 in Cologne with Ulrike Haas on vocals, Bernd Neumann on guitar, and Peter Hennecken on bass and keyboard. Their debut release was the mini-album Smell Of Spring in 1991. The next year, they released their first full-length album, As Time Goes By, which included the single "Sister Moon", gaining them international attention. Throughout the mid-1990s, Passion Noire continued to release albums such as Trip To Your Soul (1993), Eternity (1994), and More (1995). The band's activity significantly decreased by the mid-1990s.
