The Last Dance is an American dark wave band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1990 by Jeff Diehm (vocals), Rick Joyce (guitar), Tony Tullai (bass), and Ian Haas (drums). The group initially released the cassette release Everyone & Angel, before later signing with Dancing Ferret Discs. Their first EP Tragedy was released in 1995, followed by their debut full-length album Fairytales (1996). The band gained popularity with club favorites such as "Fairytales" and "Do You Believe in Angels?". In the late 1990s, they embarked on their first US tour and released several albums including Perfect (2002) and Whispers in Rage (2003). Drummer Ivan Dominguez died in August 2002. The band continued with Tom Coyne on drums, releasing Once Beautiful (2005) and a documentary film titled Almost Beautiful (2007). After a nearly decade-long hiatus, The Last Dance released the album Ruins (2015).
