Calva y Nada was a German music project founded by Constantin Warter, also known as Breñal, in 1990. Calva y Nada's album Dias Felizes, which included the track "Rascheln", was released in 1991, followed by El Peste Perverso Lleva Mi Peluca in the same year. The project gained traction with subsequent releases such as Monologe Eines Baumes (1993), featuring "Der Sturm", and ¡Palpita, Corazón, Palpita! (1994). Live performances included notable appearances at the Woodstage Summer Open Air in 1995 and the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in 1998. The group's music blended electronic and avant-garde elements with both German and Spanish lyrics, characterized by a distorted male vocal style.
