Something Like Silas was an American Christian alternative rock ensemble formed in 2000 in San Diego, California. The group consisted of Eric Owyoung, Nick Maybury, Luke Floeter, and Spencer Kim. The ensemble performed at the Hume Lake Christian camp and served as the regular band for the Flood ministry at Kearny High School. In 2003, the group signed with Sparrow Records. Its discography included the independent studio recordings Creation's Call (2000) and Glimpses (2003), as well as the 2001 recording Something Like Silas Live. The ensemble released its debut studio album for Sparrow Records, Divine Invitation, in 2004. In late 2006, the members regrouped under a different musical direction as the project Future of Forestry. Owyoung subsequently led the new project, which released the studio album Twilight in 2007.
