Biography

Poor Old Lu was a pioneering Christian alternative rock band based in the American Northwest in 1990, consisting of Scott Hunter (vocals), Jesse Sprinkle (drums), Aaron Sprinkle (guitar), and Nick Barber (bass). The group began as BellBangVilla before changing their name to Poor Old Lu and recording a three-song demo tape in 1991. They released their first full-length album, Star-Studded-Super-Step, in 1992, followed by their breakthrough album Mindsize in 1993, produced by Terry Taylor and Derri Daugherty. The band continued with Sin (1994) and A Picture of the Eighth Wonder (1996). Poor Old Lu disbanded in late 1996 after a farewell concert in Seattle, Washington, but they reunited in 2002 to record The Waiting Room for Tooth and Nail Records and performed select shows that year.
