Biography
Lost Dogs, an American musical supergroup, was formed in 1991 with members from multiple Christian alternative rock bands. The initial lineup included Terry Scott Taylor (Daniel Amos, The Swirling Eddies), Michael Roe (The 77s), Derri Daugherty and Steve Hindalong (The Choir), and Gene Eugene (Adam Again). Their debut album, Scenic Routes, was released in 1992 as a one-time collaboration. Following the release of their studio album, Gift Horse, in 2000, Gene Eugene passed away in March 2000. The band continued with notable releases such as Real Men Cry (2001) and Nazarene Crying Towel (2003). In 2004, they released the acoustic album Mutt, followed by the instrumental Island Dreams in 2005. Their journey down historic Route 66 inspired the album Old Angel in 2010. Lost Dogs are known for their eclectic blending of folk, blues, country, and rock, as well as their humorous concert performances filled with between-song jokes.
