Biography

Snuff, a British punk rock band formed in Hendon in 1986, consisted of Duncan Redmonds on drums and vocals, Simon Wells on guitar and vocals, and Andy Crighton on bass. The band's early releases included the EP Not Listening, which received significant airplay from BBC Radio 1 disc jockey John Peel and reached number 9 in the UK Independent Chart. Their debut album, titled Snuffsaidbutgorblimeyguvstonemeifhedidntthrowawobblerchachachachachachachachachachachayouregoinghomeinacosmicambience, peaked at number 3 on the UK Indie Chart. Following a brief split in 1991, Snuff reformed in 1994 with Loz Wong replacing Simon Wells and Lee Erinmez taking over bass duties from Andy Crighton. Notable releases include Demmamussabebonk (1996) and Disposable Income (2002). The band continued to tour extensively, including support slots for NOFX and appearances at major festivals like Reading and Leeds. In 2013, they released the album 5-4-3-2-1 Perhaps?, marking their first full-length record in a decade. In 2022, they released the album Crepuscolo dorato della bruschetta borsetta calzetta cacchetta trombetta lambretta giallo ossido, ooooooh cosi magnifico!.
