Biography

Millencolin is a Swedish punk rock band formed in October 1992 in Örebro. The ensemble was founded by Erik Ohlsson, Mathias Färm, and Nikola Sarcevic, with Fredrik Larzon joining as drummer in early 1993. The group released the demo cassettes Goofy and Melack in 1993. The single “Use Your Nose” led to a contract with Burning Heart Records. In 1994, the band released the EP Skauch and the debut album Tiny Tunes, which was later re-titled Same Old Tunes. Subsequent recordings included Life on a Plate (1995) and For Monkeys (1997). The ensemble released Pennybridge Pioneers in 2000 and Home from Home in 2002, receiving the award for best Swedish rock band at the 2003 Swedish Hit Awards. The band began organizing the Millencolin Open skateboarding contest in 2003. Later studio albums included Kingwood (2005), Machine 15 (2008), True Brew (2015), and SOS (2019).
