Biography

Teenage Bottlerocket, formed in 2000 by twin brothers Ray Carlisle and Brandon Carlisle in Laramie, Wyoming, emerged from the dissolution of their earlier band Homeless Wonders, with Ray Carlisle on vocals and bass and Brandon Carlisle on drums. Their debut EP A Bomb released in 2002, followed by the LP Another Way in 2003. The band then released multiple albums, including Total (2005), Warning Device (2008), They Came from the Shadows (2009), Freak Out! (2012), and Tales from Wyoming (2015) while signing to Red Scare, Fat Wreck Chords, Rise Records, and later Pirates Press. After Brandon Carlisle’s death in 2015, drummer Darren Chewka joined in 2016, and the group released Stealing the Covers (2017), Stay Rad! (2019), Sick Sesh! (2021), and Ready to Roll (2025). The group has toured with NOFX, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Volbeat, cementing their presence in American punk.
