Good Riddance, a hardcore punk rock band from Santa Cruz, California, was founded in 1986 by vocalist Russ Rankin. The band released their debut EP Gidget in 1993 and signed to Fat Wreck Chords in 1995, releasing their first album For God and Country. Good Riddance released seven full-length studio albums on the label before disbanding in 2007 with a live recording of their farewell concert titled Remain in Memory - The Final Show. They reformed in 2012 and released three more studio albums for the same label: Peace in Our Time (2015), "Thoughts and Prayers" (2019) and Before the World Caves In (2026). Good Riddance is known for their blend of fast punk with catchy melodies, addressing themes ranging from political protests to personal struggles.
