Aural Vampire is a Japanese musical group from Tokyo formed in 2004 by Exo-Chika and Dj Raveman. The duo began experimenting with synthesizers and scratching during their high school years, which led to performances at local bars and clubs. They initiated their professional career on March 22, 2004, with the release of the limited single "Vampire Ecstasy". On October 4, 2005, they released the single "Death Folder", which featured a flash video for the track "Economical Animal Superstar". Between 2009 and 2010, the group released a series of EPs before compiling those tracks into their first full-length album, Zoltank!, in May 2010. Their music blends industrial, electronic, and rock elements, often exploring themes of horror and taboo subjects. They have gained international recognition through performances across Europe, Asia, North America, and South America, collaborating with acts such as The Pussybats and Sins of the Flesh.
