Biography

Real name Franck Hueso, French electronic musician, composer and producer Carpenter Brut, born in 1977 in Poitiers (Vienne), has become one of the figures of the darksynth and synthwave movement in just a few years, while cultivating secrecy about his identity. He began his career in 2012 with the intention of mixing sounds from horror films, metal, rock and electronic music. He released three EPs, soberly titled EP I, EP II and EP III between 2012 and 2015, which he compiled on a debut album entitled Trilogy (2015). The man who admits to having been inspired by Justice as much as Pink Floyd or Iron Maiden follows this up with Leather Teeth in 2018, then the soundtrack to the film Blood Machines in 2020. He returned in 2022 with the album Leather Terror, ranked No. 37 in the French SNEP chart. Between two successful tours, Carpenter Brut returns to the studio to work on his third personal album, Leather Temple, released in 2026.
