Biography
Underminded, a hardcore/metalcore band from San Diego, California, was formed in 1999 by singer Nick Martin and guitarist Matt Johnson. The duo attended a Catholic school together at the time of formation. Brandon Cardwell joined on bass guitar and backing vocals in 2000 and drummer Tanner Wayne was added in 2006. Underminded released their first EP, The Task of the Modern Educator, in 2003. The band's debut album, Hail Unamerican!, followed in 2004 via Kung Fu Records. Following the album's release, Underminded toured extensively, including on the Warped Tour and with Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Emery, and The Devil Wears Prada. Their second studio album, Eleven: Eleven, produced by Paul Miner, was released in 2007 through Uprising Records.
