Therese "Tess" Mattisson, born February 13, 1978 in Solna, Sweden, is a singer and dancer. She worked as a backing vocalist and dancer for Swedish acts such as Rob'n'Raz and Dr. Alban. Mattisson's breakthrough came in 1997 when she became the front figure in La Cream, a Eurodance group formed by producers Anders Bagge and Peer Ã
ström. With La Cream, Mattisson released several successful hits including "Château d'Amour" (1998). Their debut album Sound & Vision was released in 1999. After leaving La Cream, Mattisson launched her solo career with Virgin Records, releasing her debut album One Love to Justify in 2001. Notable singles from this period include "Justify My Love" and "The Second You Sleep".
