Barthezz was born on January 22, 1980 in Asten, the Netherlands. He is a Dutch DJ and producer in the field of electronic dance music/trance and performs under his real name Bart Claessen and the alias Barthezz. He recorded his first demo tapes in his bedroom studio at the end of the 1990s and won a remix competition in 2000, which attracted attention in the scene. Under the name Barthezz, he released the single "On The Move" (2001) in 2001, which charted in several countries and was distributed internationally; "Infected" (2001) followed shortly afterwards and also reached the charts. In 2001, the album Hard Hop Superstars (2001) is released, which brings together productions from the early phase of his career. Under his real name Bart Claessen, he released further singles in the following years such as "Persona Non Grata" (2004), "Playmo" (2005), "First Light" (2007), "Madness" (2008) and other tracks up until the 2010s, including "Elf" and "Hartseer".
