Biography
Spawn of Possession was a Swedish technical death metal group formed in February 1997 in Kalmar. The group, initially consisting of Jonas Bryssling and Jonas Karlsson on guitars and Dennis Röndum on drums, recorded their first demo, The Forbidden, in 2000. After signing with Unique Leader Records in December 2001, they released their debut album, Cabinet, in 2003. The band embarked on extensive tours across Europe and North America, supporting acts such as Cannibal Corpse and Hypocrisy. Their second album, Noctambulant, was released in 2006 by Neurotic Records. In 2012, Spawn of Possession released their third studio album, Incurso. The band announced its disbandment on August 4, 2017, citing scheduling conflicts and the inability to complete new material.
