Biography
Psycroptic, an Australian technical death metal group formed in Hobart, Tasmania, in 1999 by brothers Dave Haley (drums) and Joe Haley (guitar), emerged from the earlier band Disseminate. Their debut release, The Isle of Disenchantment (2001), was followed by The Scepter of the Ancients (2003), Symbols of Failure (2006), and Ob(Servant) (2008). After signing with Nuclear Blast in 2008, Psycroptic released The Inherited Repression (2012), a selfâtitled album on Prosthetic Records (2015), As the Kingdom Drowns (2018), and Divine Council (2022). The band toured extensively, supporting acts such as Incantation, Decapitated, and Nile, and performed across Australia, Europe, and North America.
