Biography

Archspire, a Canadian technical death metal band from Vancouver, was formed in 2007 as Defenestrated and renamed in 2009. Founding members included guitarists Dean Lamb and Tobi Morelli, drummer Spencer Prewett, bassist Jaron “Evil” Good, and vocalist Shawn Haché. Their breakthrough arrived with the 2011 release of All Shall Align, produced by Stuart McKillop. After adding vocalist Oliver “Oli Peters” Aleron and bassist Jared Smith, the band signed to Season of Mist and issued The Lucid Collective (2014) and Relentless Mutation (2017), the latter earning a 2018 Juno nomination. Bleed the Future (2021) won a 2022 Juno and was Loudwire’s 16th best rock/metal album of 2021. In 2024, drummer Prewett left, replaced by Spencer Moore, and the band announced the independent release of Too Fast to Die in 2026, led by the single, "Carrion Ladder".
