Biography

Cephalic Carnage, an American deathgrind band from Denver, Colorado, was formed in 1992 by vocalist Lenzig Leal and guitarist Zac Joe. The duo released a demo EP titled Scrape My Lungs in 1994 before going on hiatus until 1996. Upon reforming with additional members, they released their debut album, Conforming to Abnormality, in 1998 via Headfucker Records. The band signed with Relapse Records in 2000 and released subsequent albums, including Exploiting Dysfunction (2000), Lucid Interval (2002), Anomalies (2005), Xenosapien (2007), and Misled by Certainty (2010). The group was known for blending various metal genres, including doom metal, sludge metal, and progressive metal. Cephalic Carnage toured extensively across North America, Europe, and Japan.
