Biography

Real Ones is a Norwegian folk rock ensemble formed in 1994 in Bergen. Established by Ivar Vogt and Jørgen Sandvik, the group was also known as Reelones. Its music incorporated melodic pop, psychedelia, and oriental influences. The band's discography included the studio recordings Comments From the Cheap Seats (1997) and Bratislava (2002), the latter of which reached number 14 on the charts. The ensemble released the album Home With the Girls in the Morning in 2005 and performed with singer Ole Paus at the Kongsberg Jazzfestival. The group received the Spellemannprisen for All for the Neighbourhood in 2008 and for Tonight Only Tonight / the Morning After in 2013. Its later work included the studio recordings First Night on Earth (2011) and Love Your Mother (2023). Band members included Vogt, Sandvik, Kåre Opheim, Øystein Skjælaaen, and David Vogt.
