The dark American Shannon Wright is one of those personalities who likes to protect herself by surrounding herself in mystery. After a short-lived stint in the rock band Crowsdell, it's as a writer and composer of intimate, fiery folk-rock songs that she's been gaining recognition over the past ten years, with albums such as Flight Safety (1999), Yann Tiersen & Shannon Wright (2004), written as a duet with the French musician, and the recent Honeybee Girl (2009). The saga continues with the ever-raucous Secret Blood (2010) and In Film Sound (2013).
