Biography

dios (malos) were formed in Hawthorne, California, by Joel Morales with brothers Joel Morales and Kevin Morales, keyboardists James Cabeza de Vaca and Edwin Kampwirth, bassist John Paul Caballero, and drummer Patrick Butterworth. The group began as an experiment in the late 1990s, evolving into a band who practised in their father's Inglewood home before recording in John Paul Caballero's basement in 2002. Their debut album dios was released on StarTime in 2004. In 2005, dios (malos) appeared. The single "I Want It All" followed in 2006. In 2009, the band signed to Buddyhead Records, releasing the Cosmic Rays EP and WEAREDIOS. Their tracks "You Got Me All Wrong" and "Everyday" were featured on The O.C. episodes The Distance and The Game Plan.
