Biography

Sera Cahoone is an American singer-songwriter and drummer born on August 4, 1975, in Littleton, Colorado. She began playing drums at age 12 and made her first public performance at Ziggie's Saloon. In 1998, Cahoone moved to Seattle and served as the drummer for the group Carissa's Wierd until 2003. She subsequently performed as a session drummer on the Band of Horses debut recording Everything All the Time. Cahoone self-released her eponymous debut studio album, Sera Cahoone, in 2005. She signed with Sub Pop Records in 2007 and released the album Only as the Day Is Long in 2008. Subsequent studio recordings included Deer Creek Canyon (2012) and From Where I Started (2017). Cahoone released the album The Flora String Sessions in 2018. She toured with artists such as Son Volt and Lucinda Williams.
