Biography
Born in 1995 in Waregem, Belgium, Aborted is one of Europe's most brutal death metal/grindcore bands. Formed by singer Sven "Svencho" de Caluwé, who is the only member to have lived through the years, Aborted waited until 1999 to release their debut album The Purity of Perversion. It took a few years for the band to achieve international recognition, signing to Century Media in 2007 for Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture. Aborted's uncompromising style has enabled them to make a name for themselves among the genre's heavyweights, and in 2014, Necrotic Manifesto was listed in the specialized U.S. Billboard charts. Better still, in 2016 their ninth studio album Retrogore graced several European charts, including France.
