Biography

Pascale Bechara Machaalani (born on March 27, 1967 in Zalka, Matn District, Lebanon) grew up in city of Jounieh and is one of Lebanon's biggest and best-loved homegrown stars, with a huge following and an impressive back catalog that spans thirteen hit studio albums and twenty-seven singles. After nurturing her love of performing as a child and beginning on the road to fame as a beauty queen in her native Lebanon, Pascale Machaalani – as she is known professionally – shot to fame following the release of her debut album, Sahar Sahar, in 1992 which was written by the lyricist Abdurrahman Alabnuddi and composed by Dr. Jamal Salama. She maintained her success on her next two albums – Nazrat Ayounak (1993) and Banadi (1994) while her seventh studio album, Nour el Shams – released in late December 1999 – elevated her profile to new heights of global success when the LP's title track was used by Warner Bros. in the 2001 US action thriller Spy Game. Pascale Machaalani has amassed a wealth of singles over the years, including 2021's "Akhed Akli" and "Gnan B Gnan."
