Biography

A true coloratura soprano, Lebanon's Hiba Tawaji was born on December 10, 1987. Trilingual, she sings in Arabic, French and English, and is at home in opera, oriental pop and jazz. Noticed by producer and composer Oussama Rahbani, she took part in his show Le Retour du Phénix in 2008. Still working with her mentor, Hiba Tawaji released the albums La Bidayi Wala Nihayi (2011) and Ya Habibi (2014). In January 2015, Hiba Tawaji took her first steps in France by taking part in the auditions for The Voice, la plus belle voix . Her masterful interpretation of Michel Legrand's song "Les Moulins de mon coeur" convinced Mika to enlist her in his team.
