Naima Samih, born on January 1, 1953, in Casablanca, Morocco, was known as a Moroccan singer. She began her career in the 1970s, appearing on Radio-Télévision marocaine shows like Khamiss al Had and Maouahib. Her breakthrough came in the 1970s with her song "Jrit Ou Jarit" (also known as "Yaka Jarhi"), which became a hit throughout the Arab world. Her notable songs also include "Wagif Aala Babikom" and "Ala Ghafla". Samih passed away on March 8, 2025, in Rabat.
