Vocalist/drummer Goatleeb Udder and guitarist/bassist Goatfreed Udder formed the German band Milking The Goatmachine in 2009. Based in Berlin, the group developed a unique style that mixed aggressive musical influences â including death metal, grindcore, and thrash â with lyrics filled with puns, devilish humor, and references to livestock. They unveiled this sound with the debut album Back from the Goats... a Goateborg Fairy Tale, which was released in October 2009. The following year, Milking The Goatmachine signed with an Austrian label, NoiseArt Records, and released Seven... a Dinner for One. Six additional studio albums followed during the remaining of the 2010s, including 2011's Clockwork Udder, 2014's Greatest Hits - Covered in Milk (which featured the band's metal-influenced versions of songs by ZZ Top, Green Day, and Robert Palmer), and 2019's From Slum to Slam - The Udder Story. The group toured, too, wearing elaborate goat masks during live performances and bolstering the lineup with the addition of guitarist Lazarus Hoove and bassist Steve Shedaway. After Us, The Grind Flood followed in 2022 and reached number 55 on the German Albums chart, and the band returned to number 55 with Milking The Goatmachine's next release, New Record, in 2023.
