Biography
Misery Index, an American death metal band, was formed in 2001 in Baltimore, Maryland by Jason Netherton on bass and vocals, Mike Harrison on guitar and vocals, and Kevin Talley on drums. Their debut EP Overthrow was released the same year through Anarchos Records. In 2003, they opened for Dying Fetus and Skinless on their North American tour and released their first full-length album Retaliate. The band signed with Relapse Records in January 2006, releasing Discordia that May. Subsequent albums included Traitors (2008), Heirs to Thievery (2010), The Killing Gods (2014), and Rituals of Power (2019). In 2020, they signed with Century Media Records and released their seventh album Complete Control. Misery Index has performed over 1000 concerts in 44 countries from 2002 to 2013.
