Biography

mewithoutYou, an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was formed in 2001 by Aaron Weiss on vocals, Michael Weiss and Brandon Beaver on guitars, Greg Jehanian on bass guitar, and Rickie Mazzotta on drums. The band released their first EP, I Never Said That I Was Brave, in 2001 and signed to Tooth & Nail Records after performing at Cornerstone Festival that same year. Their debut full-length album, [A→B] Life, was released in 2002. mewithoutYou gained significant attention with their second release, Catch for Us the Foxes (2004), which won mtvU's Left Field award for most original artist for the song "January 1979" in 2005. The band announced their farewell tour in 2019 and played their final gigs in August 2022.
