Bear vs. Shark is an American post-hardcore band from Highland, Michigan, formed in 2001. The group first issued the EP 1653 in 2001 and later signed with Equal Vision Records. Their first full-length album, Right Now, Youâre in the Best of Hands. And If Something Isnât Quite Right, Your Doctor Will Know in a Hurry, was released in 2003. A second album, Terrorhawk, followed in 2005. The band performed on national tours and appeared on bills with groups including Coheed and Cambria during this period. Bear vs. Shark became inactive in December 2005. The group reunited for performances in 2016, when a joint vinyl compilation of their two studio albums was also issued. After the initial breakup, members recorded with projects including Bars of Gold.
