Biography

Die Paldauer, a Schlager and Pop music group from Austria, was formed in 1968 by Franz Griesbacher, Erwin Pfundner, Johann Kaufmann, Alfred Kien, and Franz Scheucher. Initially known as the "Paldauer Quintett," they began performing at local venues before officially registering as a music band in 1972. Their first single, "Mit uns macht's Spaß", was released in 1977. The group gained significant popularity with their album Ein Lied für Dich (1984) and subsequent releases such as Wenn Du mich liebst (1985). Die Paldauer achieved their first major hit with "Tanz mit mir Corinna" in 1988, which won them the Schlagerparade. They continued to release successful albums including Tränen der Liebe (1990), and Ich muss Dich wiederseh'n (1995). The group's live performances became a hallmark of their career, with numerous concerts and fan tours. They received multiple awards, including the Goldene Stimmgabel in 1998 and 2000.
