Die Seer (also known as SEER) are an Austrian band from Grundlsee in the Styrian Salzkammergut region, founded in 1996 by musician Alfred Jaklitsch. Combining elements of traditional Austrian folk music with modern pop, the group became known for songs written and performed entirely in Austrian dialect. Their debut album, Ãber'n See, was released in 1996, followed by the breakthrough album Junischnee (2002), which spent 112 weeks on the Austrian charts and achieved triple-platinum status. The band won multiple Amadeus Austrian Music Awards, including honors for National Pop/Rock Group and Schlager, and received the Josef Krainer Prize in 2016. After announcing a farewell tour in 2023, Die Seer played their final concert in December 2024 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 Amadeus Awards.
