Biography

Charly and Jogl Brunner began their musical career in five-piece band Happy, releasing their first album 'A Thousand Dreams' in 1985. From 1987 to 1990 the band was reduced to a duo of the brothers. They released two more albums and various singles before rebranding as Brunner Und Brunner in 1991. While the pair released their own songs, they also wrote for other performers with great success. They won the Grand Prix of Folk Music with their song 'Hast a Bisserl Zeit für Mi' as performed by Alpentrio Tyrol. They also composed the 1992 Austrian Eurovision entry 'For the Peace of the World' for Petra Frey. In 1996 they had their big break signing for the Ariola record label. They left Ariola and what was their most successful period in 2009 to join Universal Music Group subsidiary label Electrola. This also heralded their break-up. They released their final album 'In the Sky and Back' in March of that year before playing their final TV performance on 'Musikantenstadl' in September 2009.
