Biography
Derb was a German hardâtrance project founded in 2001 by Kai Winter and Boris Hafner, both of whom had prior experience in the trance scene. The duo first gained attention with the single "In Africa", which entered the German singles chart at Number 78, and followed it with the single "Derb" the same year, solidifying their reputation within the genre. In 2003 they released the single "This Is Derb" and in 2004 the label Tracid Traxxx issued the album Derbattack, marking the peak of their commercial output. Subsequent releases included "Attack" / "D.F.C." (2004), "Coole Sau" (2005), "Satisfaktion" (2006) and "My Johnny | Dance With Me" (2008). The group worked extensively on remixes for artists such as Warmduscher, Kai Tracid and Brooklyn Bounce, and were signed to the sublabel Druck under Tracid Traxxx. Their career remained active through the late 2000s, with no public indication of disbandment or death.
