Biography

Peter Frank Adshead, known professionally as Baby Ford, is a British electronic music producer from Bolton. His early work significantly contributed to the birth of acid house in the UK. In 1988, Baby Ford released his first singles "Oochy Koochy (F.U. Baby Yeah Yeah)" and "Chikki Chikki Ahh Ahh" on Rhythm King, which reached Number 58 and Number 54 on the UK Singles Chart, respectively. These tracks were included in the EP Ford Trax, marking his breakthrough moment. In 1989, he released his debut album Children Of The Revolution, featuring a cover of Marc Bolan & T. Rex's "Children of the Revolution", which peaked at Number 53 on the UK Singles Chart. Baby Ford signed with Sire Records in the US and toured extensively, including opening for Depeche Mode on their Violator tour. His subsequent albums included BFord9 (1992), which incorporated minimal techno and trance elements, and Headphoneasyrider (1997). Throughout his career, Baby Ford collaborated with various artists under different aliases, including Mark Broom and Thomas Melchior, and released music on labels such as iFach, Pal-SL, and Trelik Records. Notable remixes include tracks by Stefan Robbers and S'Express.
