Biography
Banner Pilot is an American punk rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 2005 by Nate Gangelhoff and Nick Johnson following the dissolution of their previous band, Rivethead. The duo self-released a demo that year, which garnered positive reviews from Punknews and Razorcake. In 2006, they released the EP Pass the Poison (2006) and toured the East Coast, attracting the attention of Go-Kart Records. Their debut full-length album, Resignation Day (2008), was recorded in late 2007 and early 2008 for Go-Kart Records. In April 2009, Banner Pilot signed with Fat Wreck Chords and released their first album for the label, Collapser (2009). The band toured extensively, including appearances at The Fest in Gainesville, Florida, and Groezrock in Belgium. Their subsequent albums include Heart Beats Pacific (2011) and Souvenir (2014).
