Biography

Warp Brothers, a German electronic dance music group, was formed in 1999 by DJs Oliver Goedicke and Jürgen Dohr. Their early work blended house, trance, breakbeat, and electro elements. The duo's breakthrough came with the release of their first singles "Phatt Bass" and "We Will Survive", which charted in several countries. "Phatt Bass" was originally a collaboration with Aquagen and based on New Order’s "Confusion" (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix). In 2001, they released the single "Blast the Speakers", which later appeared on the techno album Radikal Techno 6. Their debut album, Warp 10, followed in 2002. Subsequent albums included Warp Factor (2003) and Live In Sydney (2005). Notable collaborations include "Going Insane" featuring Red Monkey and the remix of "Contact (We Gotta Connect)". In 2010, Jürgen Dohr left the group. Oliver Goedicke continued with Peter Sildegren joining in 2015. The success of "Phatt Bass 2016" vs. Wolfpack, which reached Number 1 at Beatport and became one of the most played club and festival tunes of the year, garnered support from prominent DJs such as Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Afrojack, David Guetta, Hardwell, W&W, and Dash Berlin.
