Biography

Víctor Alejandro García Pérez, born on October 1, 1976, in Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, is a Mexican singer and actor who rose to fame in 2002 as the runner-up of TV Azteca's inaugural season of La Academia. Following his success on the show, he signed with Sony Music and released his self-titled debut album in 2003, which achieved double platinum status. The album featured the hit single "Otra vez," which also served as the theme song for the telenovela Dos chicos de cuidado en la ciudad, in which Víctor García starred. He continued his musical career with albums like Loco por ti (2005), Arráncame (2006)—which earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Grupero Album—and Cuando amar duele (2009), which was certified platinum. In 2010, he paid tribute to Pedro Infante with Amorcito Corazón and performed at the Teatro Metropólitan. After a hiatus, Víctor García returned to music in 2024 under M4 Records, releasing the single "Te odio" and reimagined versions of past hits. His 2025 album Mi Regreso marked a full comeback, featuring collaborations with artists like Edén Muñoz and La Adictiva, and was supported by a national tour with performances in major cities including Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey.
