VÃctor Alejandro GarcÃa Pérez, born on October 1, 1976, in Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, is a Mexican singer and actor who rose to fame in 2002 as the runner-up of TV Azteca's inaugural season of La Academia. Following his success on the show, he signed with Sony Music and released his self-titled debut album in 2003, which achieved double platinum status. The album featured the hit single "Otra vez," which also served as the theme song for the telenovela Dos chicos de cuidado en la ciudad, in which VÃctor GarcÃa starred. He continued his musical career with albums like Loco por ti (2005), Arráncame (2006)âwhich earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Grupero Albumâand Cuando amar duele (2009), which was certified platinum. In 2010, he paid tribute to Pedro Infante with Amorcito Corazón and performed at the Teatro Metropólitan.
