La Firma was formed in 1996 in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, Mexico, by Juan Cárdenas, Adrián González, and the young composerâsinger Luis âLouieâ Padilla, who served as the groupâs lead vocalist and primary songwriter. The bandâs breakthrough came with the 1998 release of their debut album Como Una Estrella, whose single "La Culpable" entered the Top 10 on regional radio charts and established the groupâs presence in the Latin pop market. Subsequent releases followed chronologically: Para Recordar (2000) introduced the hit "La Llamada", earning a Gold record for over 100,000 copies sold; Por el Amor de Una Mujer (2001) featured the duet "Qué Pasará" with Ricardo Muñoz of Intocable; Laberintos (2003) and Lo Mejor de Mi Vida (2005) continued the trend of blending pop with traditional Mexican rhythms; Buena Suerte (2007) and the live album En Vivo (2009) showcased the bandâs evolving sound. In 2009, Momentos Y Coincidencias expanded their repertoire with 14 tracks across multiple styles. The group signed with Sony Music and later Serca Music, toured extensively in the United States alongside Intocable, and maintained a steady output through the 2010s, including Desde Adentro (2011) and Disco Negro (2013). To mark two decades together they released Happy 20's in February 2017 on their own La Firma Oficial imprint, then celebrated their 25th anniversary with the live album 25 Aniversario (En Vivo) in August 2021. From 2019 onward they focused on digital singles such as "Desde Que Estás Conmigo", "Alguien Te Va a Hacer Llorar", "Si No Vuelves", "Me Vas a Extrañar" and the 2024 single "Que Te Vaya Bien."
