Biography

Los Rojos is a Regional Mexican band formed in 2008 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, by brothers Antonio, Ángel, and Alexis Ruiz. Initially performing at local events, they gained recognition for their innovative use of a custom "bajo-bass" instrument, blending the sounds of a bass and a bajo sexto, and for their modern image that diverged from traditional norteño attire. Their debut album, Comienza la Dinastía (2014), featured hits like "El Bombón" and "Ella Te Engaña" (featuring Eliseo Robles Jr.). In 2016, they released Deja de Hacer la Guerra, followed by Ni Juez Ni Parte (2019), their first album under Fonovisa, which included tracks such as "Rúmbale" and "Blanco en la Mira" (a collaboration with Bacilos). Their live album En Concierto (2019) captured their performance at Monterrey's Auditorio Citibanamex. In 2020, they released Puro Cumbión Bien Loco, featuring reinterpretations of classic cumbias like "Mambo Lupita / No Bailes de Caballito." Their 2023 album, Se Alinearon Los Planetas, showcased collaborations with artists like Danny Félix and Jary Franco, and included the successful single "A Mí Me Gustas Tú" with Grupo Duelo. A year later, they released the LP Más Amor y Más Sabor, featuring appearances by Los Claxons, Jorge Medina, and Bobby Pulido. In 2025, their collaborative single "Algo Bien" with Grupo Duelo and Oscar Iván Trevino reached number 35 on the Regional Mexican charts.
