Biography

Tuesday is a punk-pop group from the United States that emerged in 1996 after the breakup of Chicago ska-punk band Slapstick. The original lineup featured Dan Andriano on bass and vocals, Matt Stamps on guitar, and Rob Kellenberger on drums and vocals. They released a demo on 1133 in 1996, followed by the EP Early Summer on Asian Man Records in 1997, and their sole album Freewheelin later that year. While recording Freewheelin in California, the members backed Mike Park on The Chinkees’ debut The Chinkees Are Coming. In early 1998 Tyler Wiseman joined as a second guitarist, and the band toured the United States through summer 1998. Plans for a second album stalled as members pursued college and other projects; the band faded by 1999. Afterward, Kellenberger played drums for Duvall, Colossal, and briefly for the reunited Smoking Popes, while Wiseman joined The Honor System and Whale|Horse.
