Biography
Adrenalin is an American rock band from East Detroit formed in the mid-1970s by a group of childhood friends. The original ensemble included brothers Brian and Mark Pastoria, brothers Jimmy and Mike Romeo, Bruce Schafer, and Michael Haggerty, fronted by lead singer David Larson. They achieved significant recognition with the 1984 album American Heart, which reached number 29 on the Billboard Rock Albums chart and featured the single âFaraway Eyesâ. The group is best known for the track âRoad of the Gypsyâ, featured in the 1986 film Iron Eagle. Following the death of Larson and being dropped by their label in 1987, several members formed the band DC Drive. This new project released a self-titled album and won Best Rock Group at the 1993 Motor City Music Awards for the single âYou Need Loveâ. The band reunited in 2002 for a performance with vocalist Graham Strachan and was inducted into the Michigan Rock n Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2015.
