Slick Shoes, an American punk rock band from Antelope Valley, California, formed in 1994. The band released their self-titled EP in 1996, marking their debut in the music scene. Slick Shoes gained traction with their first full-length album Rusty (1997), followed by Burn Out (1998). Their third album, Wake Up Screaming (2000), produced by Bill Stevenson, was particularly notable. The band toured extensively, sharing stages with acts such as Face to Face and MxPx. In 2003, they released their final studio album before their long hiatus, Far From Nowhere. Slick Shoes disbanded in 2004 but reunited briefly from 2007 to 2008 and again in 2011. Their album Wake Up Screaming was named one of the 50 greatest pop-punk albums of all time by Loudwire magazine in 2022. The band released their first live album Broadcasting Live (2019) and a new studio album Rotation & Frequency (2020).
