Chemical People were an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1986. The initial lineup consisted of Dave Nazworthy, Ed Urlik, Jaime Pina, and Blair Jobe. Before the release of their debut album So Sexist! in 1988, Jobe left the band. Chemical People followed up with Ten-Fold Hate in 1989, which featured guest vocals by Jack Baker on "Black Throat" and porn star Taija Rae on the cover. In 1990, Nazworthy and Urlik formed Down by Law but returned to release the mini-set Angels 'N' Devils. The band contributed soundtrack material to several porn films, collected on the 1991 album Soundtracks. Pina left, and guitar duties were handled by Dave Nazworthy, Ed Urlik, and Robert Hecker. The new lineup recorded their self-titled album in 1992. After a five-year hiatus, they returned with Arpeggio Motorcade in 1997, after which they became inactive.
