THUS LOVE are an American post-punk band originating from Brattleboro, Vermont. Formed in late 2019, the band comprise vocalist and guitarist Echo Mars (they/them), drummer Lu Racine (he/they), former bassist Nathaniel van Osdol (they/them), and guitarist/keyboardist Shane Blank. Their music is characterised by a blend of post-punk, goth-rock and indie-rock influences, marked by authentic and vulnerable lyrics that resonate with a diverse audience. The band's debut album, Memorial, released in 2022, received critical acclaim for its introspective themes and innovative sound. Following this, THUS LOVE expanded their lineup, adding bassist Ally Juleen (she/they) and guitarist/synth player Shane Blank (he/him), which contributed to a more expansive and collaborative musical approach. Their second album, All Pleasure, released in November 2024, signified a shift towards more outward reflections, featuring spacious guitar sounds and a creative democratic process among the members. The band are also known for their DIY ethos, building their own recording studio and designing their merchandise, reflecting their commitment to authenticity and community engagement.
